Divmod, Inc. employs several of the most prominent Twisted Python developers in the world, including the founder of Twisted itself, Glyph Lefkowitz. Simply put, if you want to know The Right Way to Do It in Twisted, we're who you come to.

We will work with you to determine the areas of interest for your group or the ones that make the most business sense for your developers. Here is a simple break-down that should give a general sense of what we can offer your team:

• Twisted Framework - Introduction, asynchronous programming (deferreds), network programming (protocols, clients, servers, factories), overview of advanced topics
• Web Developer - twisted.web, nevow, object publishing, RPC, REST, zope/django integration
• Software Architecture - Product/project planning, API design, component reuse, advanced Twisted best practices
• Application Engineer - mantissa, axiom, deployments, management, upgrades, hosted environments, grid/cloud computing

The material that can be covered in a 1-day course will differ greatly from our 3- or 4-day syllabus. In one day, we can cover the basics of asynchronous programming, Twisted deferreds and the Twisted event loop. This is enough to provide some conceptual groundwork, some initial intuition of the topic, and increased familiarity with the Twisted event-driven framework.

With a two-day course, we can provide the basics and then take one of to possible directions with the instruction. We can either engagne in a general overview of the Twisted Framework with a diverse selection of examples, or we can focus on a single package within the Framework such as twisted.web, twisted.cred, twisted.mail, etc.

Due to the multitude of possibilities, designing a syllabus for three- and four-day courses involves discussions with the customer on their specific professional needs and goals. With these longer courses, we have several options which provide training solutions targetted at specific needs, covering the desired topics in-depth.
